Read the dose and serving separately

A bottle can show one number prominently while the Supplement Facts panel defines a serving as two or more capsules. Record both NMN per capsule and NMN per serving. Then record the number of servings, not only the capsule count.

For example, a 60-capsule bottle with a two-capsule serving contains 30 servings. That is different from a 60-capsule bottle with a one-capsule serving even though the bottle count is the same.

Match test results to the product

A test report may cover the raw NMN ingredient, a finished capsule, or a facility. Those are different claims. A useful report identifies the sample, test date, lot or batch, method, laboratory, and measured result.

Do not turn a raw-material purity result into proof that every finished capsule contains the labeled dose. Do not turn facility registration into product approval. Keep each document attached to the claim it can support.

Our NMN certificate of analysis guide shows how to read the sample, method, specification, result, and units as one record.

Normalize the price

Bottle prices are not directly comparable when doses and serving counts differ. First calculate price per serving. Then calculate price per 250 mg or 500 mg of NMN using the labeled amount.

Price per serving = bottle price divided by servings per bottle

Price per 500 mg NMN = price per serving multiplied by 500 divided by NMN per serving

Use the official US price in dollars, include shipping when it applies, and state the checked date.

Separate combination products

NMN products that also contain pterostilbene, resveratrol, or another active ingredient should not be treated as equivalent to single-ingredient NMN. Record every added active ingredient and its labeled amount.

A combined front-label total is not the NMN dose. The comparison should show the NMN amount and the added ingredient amount separately, then explain why the combination is being considered.

What belongs in a final comparison

  • Exact product and variant name
  • NMN per capsule and per serving
  • Capsules and servings per bottle
  • All added active and inactive ingredients
  • Test sample, method, date, laboratory, and lot
  • Manufacturing and certification scope
  • Total price, shipping, and checked date
  • Price per serving and equal NMN amount

For the evidence boundary behind the category, start with what NMN supplements are and then read the NMN human trials guide.

For a specific buying question, compare 250 mg and 500 mg labels, separate NMN with pterostilbene from NMN alone, or use the eight-product specs database. The purity verification guide and serving-size guide cover the two most common document and label errors.
